So, here we go. We are leaving our home town …well, for some of us the city where we currently live … and we are heading for Munich to catch our firs plane on this trip. All of us in one small car…let’s hope we get there ok.

Reconciliation with Bali

Today I escaped from Kuta and drove with my motorbike through the capital city of the province Bali, Denpasar (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Denpasar), to Ubud (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ubud).
After arriving Ubud I asked in some shops for a cheap accommodation (guest house) and got a recommendation for a small family guest house in Padang Tegal beside Ubud. The bungalow costs 100.000 [...]

The Mayan´s were amazing people

We made it to Palenque with a little sleep on the bus and got a hotel across the street. Most of the hotel have cost around 200-250 Pesoes or - Canadian.

Bad luck. Should have checked first.

This morning we thought we would get an early start but not to early. We left the hotel at 9am went and got breakfast and made it to the bus station by 9:45 fully expecting a 7 hour bus trip to Palenque. Turns out the bus left at 8:30am and there wasn´t another one [...]
